Message from the President of Lorestan University on the Anniversary of the Return of Esteemed Prisoners of War to the Islamic Homeland

Message from Dr. Khosro Azizi, President of Lorestan University:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
August 17th marks the anniversary of the glorious return of the valiant veterans to the Islamic homeland.
The valiant veterans, during the eight years of the Sacred Defense, became a symbol of patience and steadfastness in the path of truth through their resistance and perseverance in the prisons of the Ba'athist regime of Iraq.
Always, the culture of sacrifice, martyrdom, resistance, and steadfastness in the path of truth has led to victory and pride for the Iranian nation in various arenas.
The valiant veterans are also a manifestation of patience, forbearance, and resistance in the path of truth.
By the grace of the struggles, sacrifices, and selflessness of the martyrs and the veterans, and the resistance and perseverance of the valiant veterans, today Islamic Iran enjoys a position of authority, pride, and national, regional, and global dignity in various fields and arenas, and this important, influential, and fundamental achievement is due to the sustainable and continuous movement in the path and way of resistance and steadfastness against the hegemonic powers and reliance on the internal capacities and capabilities of the country.
It is our responsibility to strive, more than ever before, to strengthen and expand the culture of sacrifice, martyrdom, resistance, and steadfastness, and the teachings of religious culture in society, especially among the youth and students.
I commemorate the anniversary of the glorious and prideful return of the valiant and proud veterans to the Islamic homeland.
