Planting Saplings with a Scientific and Climatic Perspective: A Joint Project of Lorestan University and the General Directorate of Natural Resources of the Province is Implemented

A planning and joint cooperation meeting between Lorestan University and the General Directorate of Natural Resources and Watershed Management was held with the aim of implementing a large-scale seedling planting project on the occasion of Natural Resources Week.

According to the Public Relations Department of Lorestan University, in this meeting, which was held on Saturday, February 21st of the current year in the office of the President of Lorestan University, Engineer Shirzad Najafi, Director General of Natural Resources and Watershed Management of Lorestan Province, in his speech, considered Lorestan University as one of the leading institutions in strengthening and expanding the culture of natural resources and seedling planting.

Dr. Mehrdad Dadestani, President of Lorestan University, also explained in his speech that Lorestan University is ready to implement the program for Tree Planting Week and Day and Natural Resources, and one of the missions of the university is to promote the culture of the environment and natural resources in society.

In the large-scale seedling planting project of Lorestan University, it is planned to plant various types of trees in proportion to the climatic conditions of the region.

In this meeting, Dr. Mohsen Abbasi, Vice President for Support, Dr. Ghasem Sahraei, Vice President for Cultural and Social Affairs of Lorestan University, Dr. Naghavi, Head of the Faculty of Natural Resources, Dr. Mehdi Soleimani-Motlagh, Secretary of the Green Management Steering Council of the University, and other members also presented their views and suggestions.

The mentioned project will be implemented in the coming days.
