President of Lorestan University: Strengthening the connection between universities and executive managers leads to more efficient disaster and crisis management methods.

The President of Lorestan University stated: "The more the connection between universities and the managers of executive bodies increases, the more efficient and effective the scientific methods of comprehensive disaster management will become."
Dr. Khosro Azizi, in the training workshop on comprehensive disaster management, which was held with the presence of governors, district governors, mayors, managers of departments and executive bodies of the province, and military and law enforcement commanders in the meeting hall of Shahid Alireza Faraji Faculty of Basic Sciences of Lorestan University, explained: "The interaction between the university and the executive management and the private sector in developed countries is a very high interaction, and this has led to various successes in the management of various hazards such as floods or earthquakes."
Dr. Azizi explained in this one-day workshop, which was held on Tuesday morning, October 1st, with the joint cooperation of the General Directorate of Crisis Management of the province (Lorestan Governorate), Jihad University of the province, and Lorestan University: "The university should be a community-oriented, problem-identifying, and extroverted university and be able to play an effective role in solving regional and provincial problems and challenges."
The President of Lorestan University added: "Fortunately, based on the decisions made, it has been approved that faculty members, especially newly recruited faculty members, should spend a study opportunity for six months to one year in executive bodies, which is an important step in strengthening the relationship between the university and the community."
