Representative of the Supreme Leader in Lorestan Province: I'tikaf is paying attention to the health and well-being of the human soul and mind.

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Lorestan Province and the Friday prayer leader of Khorramabad, at the spiritual ceremony of Itikaf at Lorestan University, said: "Itikaf is paying attention to the health and well-being of the human soul and mind."

According to the Public Relations of Lorestan University, Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Dr. Seyyed Ahmadreza Shahrokhi, in this ceremony which was held on Thursday evening, January 25th, in the Hazrat Fatemeh Zahra (S) Mosque of Lorestan University, explained: "Humans, just as they need physical health and cleanliness, also need spiritual health; Itikaf and fasting, in fact, are paying attention to the health and well-being of the soul and mind and self-improvement of humans."

Dr. Shahrokhi explained: "When a person performs Itikaf, they abandon all material and worldly attachments and purify their soul and spirit with Itikaf in the path of God."

He added: "By performing Itikaf and fasting, a person completely surrenders to Almighty God; this surrender is in the path of growth, perfection, and the health of the soul and mind."

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Lorestan Province and the Friday prayer leader of Khorramabad, in another part of his speech, while congratulating the anniversary of the birth of Imam Ali (AS) and Father's Day (Men's Day), said: "The attributes and virtues of Imam Ali (AS) are amazing, and the tongue is incapable of fully expressing them; Imam Ali (AS) was in the path of jihad in the way of Islam from the beginning of his youth until the time of his martyrdom."

Hojjatoleslam and Muslims Seyyed Ahmadreza Shahrokhi asked the participants in Itikaf, most of whom are students, to always pay attention to the first prayer time and, to the best of their ability, participate in various religious ceremonies, including Friday prayers, activities of religious groups, jihadist groups, etc., so that they can continuously move in the path of religion and truth.

The representative of the Supreme Leader in Lorestan Province and the Friday prayer leader of Khorramabad, in another part of his speech, thanked the organizers of Itikaf in the country, including the Representation of the Supreme Leader in Lorestan University.

He answered the religious questions of the participants in Itikaf with a dialogue-based approach.

In another part of the program, the Dua Kumayl was recited by Mostafa Babanzhad, with the accompaniment of the participants in Itikaf.

It is worth mentioning that the organizer of the Itikaf ceremony at Lorestan University is the Representation of the Supreme Leader in this university.
