The President of Lorestan University: Scientific Endeavor to Address Societal Challenges is a Key University Duty

Dr. Khosro Azizi, President of Lorestan University, said: "The university's critical task is to identify the challenges of society and make scientific efforts to address these challenges."
Dr. Khosro Azizi, on Sunday morning, August 18, in a meeting with the managers of the "Raya Keshvarz Zagros" employment and entrepreneurship cooperative, stated: "To solve the challenge of unemployment, students should be trained as skill-creating students; When a student graduates from university, they must have the necessary practical skills to create jobs and employment."
He considered the establishment of employment and entrepreneurship cooperatives as an important step towards employment in Lorestan province, in accordance with the capacities and capabilities within the province.
The President of Lorestan University added: "A community-oriented university is a skill-creating university, and fortunately, good measures have been taken in this field at Lorestan University."
Dr. Azizi explained: "The university should expand its scientific communication in practical works and projects with the private sector and executive sectors."
He stated: "It is important that the university trains students in such a way that they can convert their ideas into technology and ultimately reach the stage of wealth creation."
The President of Lorestan University added: "Lorestan University has an entrepreneurship center, and we support the fact that the "Raya" employment and entrepreneurship cooperative should conclude a memorandum of understanding with the university so that students, especially students of agricultural fields, participate in cooperative projects and in order to gain and increase skill creation."
Dr. Khosro Azizi said: "We are seeking to achieve this goal that tables under the title of industry table, agriculture table and employment table should be created in Lorestan University so that direct communication between economic, industrial and agricultural activists of the province with students and faculty members of Lorestan University, is expanded and strengthened."
He stated: "Lorestan province has the capacity and talent to produce medicinal plants and production activities should be strengthened in this field; It is important that we try to get the country's economy out of dependence on the oil economy, and one of the solutions to achieve this goal is to strengthen and increase the production of medicinal plants and rely on other capacities and internal production capabilities of the country."
The President of Lorestan University explained: "One of the measures we have implemented at Lorestan University is the establishment of the Oak Research Center; This center operates in line with the protection of the Zagros oak forests, scientific discussions related to oak products and other related topics."
Dr. Khosro Azizi said: "Another measure is obtaining a license to establish the Lorestan University Honey Research Institute so that the university, based on the capacities and talents of the province, plays a more effective role in the path of provincial development."
The President of Lorestan University expressed hope that the private companies and cooperatives of the province will expand their relationship with Lorestan University.
Dr. Seyed Najmuddin Almasi, Director of Communication with Society and Entrepreneurship of Lorestan University, was also present at this meeting.
It should be noted that Seyed Moslem Mousavian, a PhD student in plant medicine at Lorestan University, along with Jamshid Mansouri Korei, the top entrepreneur of Lorestan and a specialist in medicinal plants, has created an employment and entrepreneurship cooperative called "Raya Keshvarz Zagros".
This cooperative is active in the field of medicinal plant production.
Also, the necessary training is provided to farmers and students.
Seyed Moslem Mousavian has 12 scientific and research articles and is a selected student and a cultural activist of the cultural houses of Lorestan University.
He became the top idea generator at the Iduca Startup Festival.
Mousavian has been the top student researcher at Lorestan University.
With the activity of the Raya Keshvarz Zagros employment and entrepreneurship cooperative, employment has been created for more than 150 people, directly and indirectly.
