Symposium of Professors with the Presence of the Provincial IRGC Commander / Emphasis on the Pivotal Role of Academics in the Jihad of Explanation and the Country's Scientific Authority

The Organization of Basij of Professors of Lorestan Province, in collaboration with the University of Lorestan, convened a brainstorming session for university professors of the province to discuss strategies for a successful commencement of the new academic year. The session was attended by Brigadier General Nematollah Bagheri, Commander of the Hazrat Abolfazl (AS) Corps of Lorestan Province.

According to the Public Relations of the University of Lorestan, this dialogue-oriented meeting, held on Monday, September 14th, in the Martyr Mirbahresi Hall of the University of Lorestan, provided a platform for professors, heads of provincial universities, and the provincial commander of the Corps to exchange views on the role of professors in the "Jihad of Explanation," welcoming new students, and strategies for maintaining academic tranquility and vibrancy within the university environment.

The Pivotal Role of Universities in Iran's Scientific Authority

Dr. Mehrdad Dadastani, President of the University of Lorestan, at this meeting, while commemorating the martyrs of science and technology and the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, referred to Iran's distinguished scientific position in the world (ranking 15th-16th in scientific production) and stated: "The scientific authority of our dear Iran is the common goal of all academics. Our academics must be fully prepared for any situation and, by strengthening national unity and expanding the culture of dialogue with students, safeguard national authority and pride."

He added, citing the directives of the martyred leader of the Revolution: "Education, upbringing, and culture must be prioritized as a 'meta-strategy' in university programs."

Academics' Vigilance Against Enemy Conspiracies

Brigadier General Nematollah Bagheri, Commander of the Hazrat Abolfazl (AS) Corps of Lorestan Province, also stated at the meeting that the enemy has consistently failed against the Islamic Republic over the past four decades. He remarked: "Currently, the enemy seeks to create insecurity by instigating riots and generating distractions within universities, but our academics, with full awareness and vigilance, neutralize these conspiracies."

He emphasized: "The university environment must, more than ever, be directed towards applied research and studies commensurate with national and provincial needs and the country's progress, and this academic environment must not be allowed to be diverted by enemies into deviant and marginal paths."

The University: The Hub of the Jihad of Explanation and National Dignity

Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimeen Dr. Majid Moaidi, Head of the Offices of the Supreme Leader's Representative in the Universities of Lorestan Province, referring to the current sensitive juncture, considered the country's victories as a sign of Iran's dignity and independence and emphasized the critical mission of universities in the Jihad of Explanation.

Furthermore, Dr. Gholamhossein Hosseini, Head of the Organization of Basij of Professors of the Province, and Dr. Iman Bahrami-Chegeni, Head of the Basij of Professors' Association of the University of Lorestan, emphasizing the immense capacities of the academic community, called for maximum utilization of these capabilities to sustain the path of Iran's progress and scientific authority.

At the end of the meeting, the professors present emphasized the importance of universities in the comprehensive progress of society and presented proposals for better management of welcoming new students and their families, as well as increasing explanatory activities at the university level.
